Where is Camp Christopher located?  

Camp Christopher is located on beautiful Christopher Lake. From Prince Albert, drive 36 km north on Highway 2, turn left at highway 263 towards Christopher Lake, proceed through the town of Christopher Lake, turn right on highway 953, continue along Hwy 953 approx. 1km until you see the green sign that reads “Presbyterian Camp”. The camp gate is on the right hand side of the road.

How long does it take to get to Camp Christopher?

Camp Christopher is approximately 2 hours from Saskatoon and 35 minutes from Prince Albert.

What time does camp start and end?

Registration is on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Campers will be introduced to their cabin counsellors, find out which cabin they’ll be staying in. Parents and Campers will also have an opportunity to meet our Camp Nurse and drop off any medications he/she will need during the week.

All of our camps conclude at the same time (10:00am), with a closing worship service. The closing service will feature all campers/counsellors, some songs from the week and will last roughly 30 mins. Campers are free to go following the closing service, and parents will be able to pick-up any medications that were left with the Camp Nurse for the week.

Please note that although the Closing Worship service begins at 10:00am for every camp, the closing day varies from camp to camp. Though usually this is a Friday morning, please check our list of 2017 Dates to confirm.

What if my child is late for camp?

At Camp Christopher we understand it’s not always possible to make it at 3:00pm sharp. If you know ahead of time that you’ll be running late for Opening Registration, please give us a call or send us a quick email.

If you are unable to make Opening Registration because of a lack of transportation, let us know. We can definitely help find you a ride.

When do camps fill up?
Once registration is open, camps will be filling up quickly between then and June. Typically our Junior and Intermediate camps are the first to fill up, so register now!

Is there a charge for a cancellation?
To cancel your registration please call us at the office as soon as you can (or send us an email). All cancellations will be subject to an administration/processing fee of $50 prior to June 1st 2017.

What should I bring to camp?

Please note – if you are registered for LIT or Canoe Camp, you will be sent a more specialized list of the items you’ll need to bring with you! If you don’t receive the list please phone the camp the Friday morning prior to your arrival for details.

What should I leave at home?
Camp Christopher is a community that has temporarily “come apart” into the out of doors. We have the opportunity to experience community differently from home and in order to participate fully, we ask that electronics are left at home.

Not specific enough? Cell phones, iPods, iPads, tablets, mp3 players, portable DVD players, etc…

Can my child be in the same cabin as their friend?
Yes. When completing the 2017 Registration Form online, there will be a field provided to indicate which friends they would like to be with. If you’re using one of our brochures, simply make a note on the registration form and we’ll take care of the rest.

What if my child has an allergy?
At Camp Christopher we strive to provide the safest environment possible for each and every camper. As a result all of our staff is trained in First Aid, and we supply a Camp Nurse each week of the summer. All parents/guardians will have a chance to meet our Nurse during Opening Registration and leave all appropriate medications for any and all allergies.

If your son/daughter suffers from a nut allergy, please let us know ahead of time. We are happy to accommodate, we just need to know so we can take the appropriate precautions before you get there. Give us a call or send us a quick email.

How much do Camp Shirts/Camp Pictures cost?
$ 0.00. Each camper that registers with us for the 2017 Season will be given a T-shirt when they register at the start of the week. Each camper will also receive a copy of the camp picture from their week when they sign out at the conclusion of each week.

Do you have a Lost & Found?

Yes. At the end of each week, all Lost and Found will be put on display during the Closing Worship Service (which begins at 10:00am). Parents/Guardians will have an opportunity to have a look and claim any lost items. It is our policy to hold all Lost & Found items for two (2) weeks following the conclusion of each camp. After this time period, all remaining items will be donated to outside organizations.

To help avoid losing items during the week, we recommend parents/campers label EVERYTHING!
