 Have you ever wondered what the Leaders In Training program is like? 

 Do you love camp but want to try something new? 

 Are you interested in developing leadership skills and having fun? 

 Are you in grade 10 or older? 

 If you said yes to any of these our Leaders In Training program might be for you! 

 What is Leaders In Training? We’re glad you asked! 

 Leaders In Training is a 10-day program where you will have the chance to learn some new leadership skills, develop skills you already have, and make friends while doing it! Spend time making memories, learning the ropes at camp, and building connections.

 What are some things we can learn in the Leaders In Training program? 

Great question! here are some of the things we will cover in 2018s Leaders In Training program

  • Principals of healthy child development
  • Canoeing skills
  • How to lead a wide game activity
  • Effective communication skills
  • Different leadership style and how to use the one that best suits you
  • Conflict resolution
  • Outdoors skills such as tents and campfire building
  • Problem solving
  • Teamwork
  • Hands on time to practice your new skills with our Intermediate campers
  • Form a close bond with other LITs
  • Shadow the program staff and explore each job on site
  • And so much more!
  •  What can we do once we’ve completed the Leaders In Training program? 

    Lots of things! Leaders In Training looks great on a resume, and can even help you land a job at camp the summer after you complete it! Some people choose to come back and volunteer for more weeks after LIT is done.
